PUPA Trucking Inc. ("PUPA," "we," "us") makes a mobile and web app that helps owner-operators run their trucking business. This policy describes how we handle your information. Plain language, no surprises.
Information we collect
You give us
- Account details — name, email, and the password you set.
- Business profile — CDL, DOT/MC numbers and truck details you enter to organize your records and reports.
- Records you create — receipts, loads, trips, expenses and notes you add to the app.
Collected automatically
- Location — only while you have a trip running, to track mileage and show nearby fuel, scales and parking. You can turn this off in your device settings.
- Device & usage — app version, device type and crash logs that help us fix problems.
How we use it
- To provide the app's features — analyzing loads, scanning receipts, tracking miles and generating your reports.
- To keep your account secure and back up your data if you're on a paid plan.
- To respond to support requests and improve the app.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information. We don't share your business records with brokers, carriers, lenders, or advertisers. Your data is used to run the app for you — full stop.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us operate (for example, cloud hosting and the AI service that reads receipt images), under contracts that limit them to that purpose. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Receipt & document scanning
When you photograph a receipt, the image is processed to extract the vendor, amount, date and category. Images and extracted data are stored in your account and are not used to train third-party models.
Cookies & the website
Our website uses minimal storage:
- Essential — a local setting that remembers your light/dark theme preference. This never leaves your device.
- Analytics — aggregate, privacy-respecting metrics so we know which pages are useful. No cross-site advertising trackers.
You can clear these anytime through your browser settings.
Your choices
- Access, correct or export your data from within the app.
- Delete your account and associated records at any time.
- Turn off location sharing in your device settings.
Data retention & security
We keep your data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for tax-record purposes, then delete it. We protect it with encryption in transit and at rest, and access controls on our side.
Children
PUPA is built for working professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes
If we update this policy we'll change the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
